Acquiring an Occupational License
To acquire an occupational license, an application is first submitted to the Permit and Licensing Coordinator to review for completeness.
The Permit and License Coordinator will then submit the application to the Zoning Administrator for review and approval of consistency with the Unified Development Code and Zoning regulations that may apply on the property in question.
When Zoning approval is given by the Zoning Administrator, your Occupational License will be issued by the Permit and Licensing Coordinator.
Generally, the occupational license certificate fee is contingent on the following factors:
- Type of activity in which the business is engaged
- Projected total gross receipts derived by the business for the previous calendar year
- All licenses and certificates must be renewed annually by January 1

Change of Name, Location, Ownership, or Closing of Business
The Permit and License Coordinator must be notified in writing of a change of name, location, ownership or closing of a business.
