The City of Powder Springs observes several holidays throughout the year that have an impact on trash collection.  In general, if a holiday occurs on your normal collection day, it will be picked up on the next business day.  If you have any questions concerning the holiday schedule, please call the Public Works Department at 770.943.8010.

Below is the holiday schedule for upcoming holidays.  Please expect delays for days that we have to pick up more than one day's route.

INDEPENDENCE DAY

Our offices will be closed Monday, July 5th, 2010.

Monday's household trash collection will be collected on Tuesday, July 6th, 2010.

THERE WILL BE NO YARD WASTE OR BRUSH COLLECTION THE WEEK OF JUL. 5TH- JUL. 9TH.


LABOR DAY

Our offices will be closed Monday, September 6th, 2010.  

Monday's household trash collection will be on Tuesday, September 7th.

THERE WILL BE NO YARD WASTE OR BRUSH COLLECTION THE WEEK OF SEPT. 6TH - SEPT. 10TH.

THANKSGIVING

Our offices will be closed Thursday, November 25th & Friday, November 26th, 2010.

Thursday and Friday's trash collection will be on Monday, November 29th, 2010 along with Monday's route.

THERE WILL BE NO YARD WASTE OR BRUSH COLLECTION THE WEEK OF NOV 29TH - DEC 3RD, 2010.

CHRISTMAS

Our offices will be closed Friday, December 24th & Monday, December 27th.

Friday & Monday's trash collection will be on Tuesday, December 28th, 2010 along with Tuesday's route.

THERE WILL BE NO YARD WASTE OR BRUSH COLLECTION THE WEEK OF DEC 27TH - DEC 31ST.

NEW YEAR'S DAY 2011

Our offices will be closed Friday, December 31, 2010.

Friday's trash collection will be on Monday, Jan 3rd, 2011.
