Chief Lane Cadwell

Chief Lane Cadwell was appointed as Chief of Police of the Powder Springs Police Department in August of 2021. Starting his career with this agency in 2001, Chief Cadwell has risen through the ranks from Patrol Officer to Detective all of the way to his current role as Chief. In 2021, he established a vision for the agency that would highlight obtaining the Georgia Association of Chief’s of Police State Accreditation, building a new command staff, establishing a training division, and eliminating vacancies within the agency. Within just 2 short years, he has accomplished this task and has quickly moved this agency in a positive direction. As a resident of the city, you can often find Chief Cadwell enjoying the city’s offerings with his family. As Chief, you can typically find him near the front-line officers helping to do the routine tasks of the job. He has proven himself to be an innovative Chief, but still grounded in the reality of the job working in conjunction with the officers of every rank. It is our pleasure to see the growth of this agency under Chief Cadwell’s leadership and look forward to continued success in the years to come.
