City Parks are open again. Linear Park is open only Thurs-Sun, dawn to dusk.

The City of Powder Springs has many beautiful parks for residents and guest to enjoy! Our parks range from passive to team sports oriented and are interconnected by our city trail system. Find time to visit one today!
Silver Comet Linear Park
Located at the intersection of Richard D. Sailors Parkway and Villa Springs Circle in Powder Springs. The Silver Comet Linear Park is located adjacent to the Silver Comet Trail and has two playgrounds including an accessible playground, a concession stand, and restrooms, a circuit exercise area, and a covered outdoor basketball court.

Butner Park

Located off Butner Street this is a quaint neighborhood park with everything you need to enjoy a few hours of playtime with your little ones! There is a playground, picnic area, and bench swing perfect for relaxing in the evening breeze. You can find this park at the end of Butner St. off Atlanta Rd.

Thurman Springs Park, Home of the Hardy Family Automotive Amphitheater 

Construction of this new Downtown Park featuring the beautiful Hardy Family Automotive Amphitheater began in 2019. Amenities include a fountain/splash pad, play area with climbing structure, and a variety of seating options including a large open lawn. It is conveniently located in the heart of Powder Springs right next to Community Development, with access to and from the Silver Comet Trail, a thoroughfare for both cyclists and pedestrians. Come out and enjoy one of the many events that will be hosted here annually, or just relax on the grass and take some time to enjoy the outdoors.

Splash Pad Hours: 10 am - 8:30 pm, beginning Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day weekend, unless maintenance is being done or an event is in progress. For Splash Pad rules, click here.

Powder Springs Park

 

Powder Springs Park is located on Brownsville Road just west of downtown Powder Springs. The park contains a playground, picnic areas, pavilions and a passive recreation area with paved trails.

Hopkins Road Park

Built in 2018 this park is home to our six hole Disc Golf Course and a gravel walking path. Easily accessible from the Wildhorse Creek Trail parking is available in the grass lot across the street from the final hole.

Wildhorse Creek Park

 
Wild Horse Creek Park is a 53-acre multi-use regional park with 4 lighted tennis courts, baseball and softball fields, football and soccer fields, a BMX track and the Ron Anderson Recreation Center. This park is maintained by Cobb County Parks.

Ron Anderson Recreation Center
Located on Macedonia Road, next to Wildhorse Creek Park. The facility includes a gymnasium and a community center. Cobb County provides a variety of programs and recreational activities at this facility. This park is maintained by Cobb County Parks.
