Virtual 4th of July Celebration and Drive-By Parade

The City of Powder Springs is planning a Virtual 4th of July Celebration and Drive-By Parade! You’ll be able to enjoy everything right from the comfort of your own home! The safety of our community and residents is important to us that’s why we are changing things up this 4th of July and bringing the celebration to YOU!

Throughout the day we will be posting various patriotic videos featuring our Mayor, Council, employees, and board members. In addition we will have several city vehicles and city staff participating in a Drive-By Parade! For a copy of the parade route and estimated times of arrival please see below. We know we cannot cover the whole city but we are doing our best to visit as many locations as possible.

The Drive-By Parade will take about 1h30m to complete and begin at 10:00am.

12:00pm - Patriotic video featuring Council Members Nancy Farmer and Doris Dawkins
3:00pm - Patriotic video featuring Council Members Patricia Wisdom and Patrick Bordelon.
6:00pm - Video highlights from the Drive-By Parade featuring city staff and board members.

This is the conclusion of our parade. While we are not able to reach all of Powder Springs we hope that we will pass close enough for you to come out and see us if you like! Photo Call

As part of its inaugural Fourth of July Virtual Celebration, the City of Powder Springs is seeking photos of veterans and active members of the military, along with those who died in the line of duty or have passed following service in the armed forces. You can submit these photos by email to the city’s communications consultant, Jon Gargis.

Photos for use in the videos should be submitted along with these details: Name, rank, branch of service, if active and location of deployment, and if the service member is a Powder Springs resident or family member of a resident.
