City offices open under modified hours; online services available

City Hall is open Mondays through Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. as of Feb. 15, 2021. Community Development and Public Safety facilities since March 1 have been open to the public Mondays through Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visitors to Community Development will be required to check in at City Hall for screening; visitors will undergo separate screening at Public Safety.  Further openings are tentatively planned for late spring. 

New residents and utility customers: An application for service can be found at cityofpowdersprings.org. Once you complete the application, you may drop a paper copy in the mail or place in the drop box outside of City Hall at the side entrance, email it to TNewkirt@cityofpowdersprings.org or KAxt@cityofpowdersprings.org, or fax to 770-943-8003.

Utility payments: Customers may pay online on the city homepage, by mail, or drop your payment at the payment drop box on the side of City Hall.  You may email Tamara Newkirt at TNewkirt@cityofpowdersprings.org or Kelly Axt at KAxt@cityofpowdersprings.org, or call 770-943-8001, ext 312. They can assist you with credit card payments over the phone. 

Tax Payments: Customers may pay online from the homepage, by mail or drop your payment at the payment drop box on the side of City Hall.  Questions regarding tax payment or accounts payable may be directed to the Finance Director at tsims@cityofpowdersprings.org.

Permits|Licenses|Zoning Applications: Applications are found on our website at cityofpowdersprings.org on the Community Development page. You may submit your application to commdev@cityofpowdersprings.org or leave it in the mail drop box at City Hall at the side entrance. Someone from Community development will contact you regarding your application. You may submit your fees for the application in the mail drop box at City Hall at the side entrance or call Tina Garver at 770-943-8001, ext 361. She can assist you with credit card payments over the phone. 

Rentals:  If you have questions about rentals or access to city amenities such as the Senior Center, the Museum, Ford Center, Theater or city park facilities, please contact Parks Director Jeff Crowder at 770-8001, ext. 305, or JCrowder@cityofpowdersprings.org.
